Sunmisola Agbebi is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and worship leader whose music lives at the intersection of faith, soul and contemporary African sound. From her first public performance at just four years old to stages across Nigeria and the world, her journey has been shaped by a singular conviction: music is more than something we hear, it can become a place where we encounter God.
Her songs carry a deeply devotional quality, drawing from prayer, Scripture and personal encounters with God. Rather than simply creating music for performance, Sunmisola describes her songwriting as documenting what God is doing in her life and spirit. Her desire is that listeners hear more than her voice and that they encounter the love and presence of Jesus.
From songs such as “Koseunti,” “My Daddy, My Daddy,” “B’Ola,” “Aileyipada” and “Yeshua,” to the 2025 project The Glory and newer 2026 releases "Wonder", "Amioluwa", her catalogue continues to reach an expanding global audience. Spotify currently records more than 1.3 million monthly listeners, reflecting the growing reach of her sound beyond borders.
Her ministry has also taken her to international platforms, including the Dubai Expo, where she performed The Garden of Our Heart alongside A. R. Rahman and the Firdaus Orchestra. She was also selected as Spotify's EQUAL Artist for February 2025, marking another significant moment in the growing global recognition of African gospel music.
But for Sunmisola, the numbers and stages are not the destination.
The assignment is the encounter.
Whether before five people or five thousand, the heartbeat remains the same: to create music and spaces where hearts can turn toward God, burdens can fall away, and worship can become deeply personal.
